RND 19: (Sc dec next 2 sts, sc next 2 sts) twice, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn.  (6 sts)
RND 20: Rep rnd 16.
RND 21: Fold stem in half, sl st through both thickness across to close, fasten off.
BAT
MATERIALS NEEDED:  Black 4 ply yarn, Gray 4 ply yarn, size G hook, needle to take yarn, glue, small amount of felt for eyes and teeth.
FINISHED SIZE: Approx. 3 inches.
Rep rnd 1–18 of pumpkin using gray yarn.
RND 19: (sc dec next 2 sts) 4 times, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.  (4 sts)
WINGS (MAKE 2):
ROW 1: With black yarn and G hook ch-14, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc next 4 ch, 3 sc next ch, sc next 7 ch, ch-1, turn.  (16 sts)
ROW 2: Sk 1st st, working in back lps now, sc next 7 sts, 3 sc next st, sc next 5 sts, leave last st unworked, ch-1, turn.  (15 sts)
RND 3: Sc next 6 sts, 3 sc next st, sc across, turn piece, sc in end of ea row across, now working across bottom of beg foundation row: sc next 5 sts, sk next 2 sts, sc next 5 sts, turn and work sc in end of ea row, sl st top beg sc, fasten off.  (27 sts)
