Nantucket Belt Crochet Pattern

Design sample was made using size 5 DMC Pearl Cotton and size O (zero) steel crochet hook.
Instructions are for a 1” X 36” belt but you can easily shorten or lengthen the belt.

Why DMC?

MATERIALS:

2 skeins DMC Pearl Cotton (27 yd skeins) in Orange 922 and Green 3348, size O hook or hook needed to obtain gauge and ** buckle.
GAUGE: 8 Hdc sts = 1”, 5 rows hdc = 1”
FINISHED SIZE: 1” wide X 51” long
BELT:
ROW 1: With orange and O hook ch-10, hdc 3rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
ROW 2-12: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 12 join green, fasten off orange.
ROW 13-16: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 16 join orange, fasten off green.
