ROW 2-58: Hdc ea st across, ch-2, turn. At the end of row 58 fasten off.
LOOP SIDE STRIP (MAKE TWO):
Row 1: With Wedgwood and H hook ch-17, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, turn. (15 sts)
ROW 2: Sl st next st, (ch-8, sl st next 2 sts) across, turn. (7 lps)
ROW 3: Press lps to back of work, ch-2, hdc ea st across, turn.
ROW 4: (sl st next 2 sts, ch-8) across, sl st last st. (7 lps)
ROW 5: Rep row 3.
ROW 6-105: Rep row 2-5. At the end of row 105 fasten off.
With needle and yarn sew one strip to ea side of rug.
TOP STRIP:
ROW 1: With rt side of rug facing you and working across long side of rug join Wedgwood in 1st st, (ch-8, sl st next 2 sts) across, turn. (56 lps)
ROW 2: Press lps to back of work, ch-2, hdc ea st across, turn. (110 sts)
ROW 3: (Sl st next 2 sts, ch-8) across, sl st last st, turn. (56 lps)
ROW 4: Rep row 2.
