RND 1: With white and H hook ch-8, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, (sc next ch, dc next ch) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (8 sts)
RND 2: (Sc next dc, dc next sc) around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn
Rep rnd 2 until piece measures 16” long, sl st end tog to form a lg lp.
SECOND RING:
Rep 1-2 of first ring. Rep rnd 2 until piece measures 16-1\2”, sl st ends tog to form a lg lp.
THIRD RING:
Rep rnd 1-2 of first ring. Rep rnd 2 until piece measures 17” long, sl st end tog to form a lg lp.
FINISHING:
Lay basket bottom on a flat surface with the stripes radiating out from the base. Lay the 1st rnd on the base and weave the stripes over and under ring. Rep with the second ring and then the third. With needle and thread sew the tops of the stripes around the third ring to finish the basket. Cut the wire into 24” lengths. Twist one end of the wire into a sm lp. Thread 90 pearls onto wire. With the remaining wire in its end, twist into a lp. Rep with the other wire. Twist the 2 beaded wires tog to form one “braided” wire. With needle and thread sew wire handle up ea side of the basket securing end lps on the basket’s bottom. Cut the ribbon into 24” lengths. Tie a bow around ea handle where it meets the basket.
