bet () next 2 sts, rep bet **, rep bet [] 14 times, rep bet () next 2 sts, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (80 sts)
RND 24-27: Rep rnd 5. At the end of rnd 27 join violet, fasten off red.
RND 28-31: Hdc ea st around, sl st top beg hdc, ch-1, turn. At the end of rnd 31 fasten off.
BOTTOM INSERT:
With red yarn and H hook rep rnd 1-4 of purse. Using this as a guide, cut a piece of cardboard in this shape only a bit smaller. With needle and matching yarn sew bottom insert to inside bottom of purse inserting cardboard bet the 2 layers.
HANDLES:
Cut two 13” lengths of wire. With pliers, twist one end of one length of wire into a loop, this will stop the beads from falling off and leave a place to sew handle to purse. Slide beads onto the handle in this sequence: 6 gray pearls and 2 ivory pearls. Rep until 2” of wire is left. With pliers twist this end as you did for the other end.
Rep for second handle.
Shape handle into a U shape and with matching yarn sew to inside of purse.
