ROW 3-5: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn.
ROW 6-10: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. (16 sts)(15 sts)(14 sts)(13 sts)(12 sts)
ROW 11-12: Hdc dec next 2 sts, hdc ea st to last 2 sts, hdc dec last 2 sts, ch-1, turn. End row 12 fasten off. (10 sts)(8 sts)
-Make two. Place both stockings tog and with white yarn and H hook join in first st row 1 of stocking thought both, ch-1, sc sa st as ch-1, evenly sc around the outer edge to secure front to back, fasten off.
COLLAR:
ROW 1: With scarlet yarn and H hook ch-47, hdc 3 rd ch from hook, hdc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (45 sts)
ROW 2-11: Hdc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 11 fasten off.
Sew short ends of collar tog to form a circle. Slip collar over top of stocking and sew around inside edges.
HANGING TAB:
ROW 1: With scarlet and h hook ch-4, sc 2 nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (3 sts)
ROW 2-12: Sc ea st across, ch-1, turn. End row 12 fasten off.
